Meet Little Miss Ju-Ju-Be herself, Julia!!!

We sat down with the sweet little girl who inspired Ju-Ju-Be’s brand, Joe and Rachelle’s daughter, Julia! Find out what she had to say in this exclusive interview!!! (People magazine, eat your heart out!)

Position: The company is named after me, and my dad calls me the Ju-Ju-Be mascot!

How long have you been with Ju-Ju-Be?
Always because that is my nickname! People also call me Ju-Ju or Jooge.

Describe a typical day for you in the world of Ju-Ju-Be.
Well, sometimes my mom and dad let the kids try to name the prints, and that is really fun! I also designed a print last week…it is called “Silly Stars”! I hope they make it into a bag! Here it is…

What’s your favorite print?
Cherry Lemonade. That is what I carry to school and all my friends love it. I have the BeAll. Last year I had a Citrus Sorbet backpack.

You’re stranded on a desert island with ONE Ju-Ju-Be bag. What is it, and why?
My BeLight that holds my knitting supplies…I love to knit! I would never be bored and I could make blankets to keep me warm at night.

What’s your favorite Ju-Ju-Be memory?
Well, some of the girls follow me around at school and tell me that I am famous because a company is named after me!!! It makes me feel special! I also got really excited when I saw four other girls carrying Ju-Ju-Be bags on the first day of school this year!

What do you like to do outside of Ju-Ju-Be?
Swim, go to the beach, help my mom cook, knit (I made a little purse!), play soccer (I’m on the Purple Cobras), play with my brothers, ski in Utah, visit my cousins, go to my Brownie troop meetings and school. I like to play with my best friend — her name is Samantha!

If they made a movie of your life, who would play you?
Ummmm…I don’t really know. I like Hannah Montana!

Meet Rachelle!!!

If you’ve hung out in the Pink Room for any amount of time, this next Team Ju-Ju-Be member needs no introduction. It’s our own Queen of the Pink Room, Rachelle! (BTW, she and Joe just celebrated their 15-year wedding anniversary. How sweet is that?!?!)

How long have you been with Ju-Ju-Be?
Since before day one!

Describe a typical day for you in the world of Ju-Ju-Be.
Check the Pink Room…answer a few posts, answer lots of PMs, give free bags to great mommies with the Real Mom Giveaway, ship out some ink refills, bling replacements or sliders, help Joe with projects like the catalog, the new website and ask him a myriad of Pink Lady questions that I don’t know the answer to, help Kristin test out prototypes (I know, tough job!), give my opinion on colors, fabrics, designs, etc….and the list goes on!!! Whatever needs to be done, I try and help.

What’s your favorite print?
Hmmmmm….it changes often! But my first love is Perky Perennials. A close second is Lotus Lullaby.

You’re stranded on a desert island with ONE Ju-Ju-Be bag. What is it, and why?
For sure, the WannaBe because it is big enough to hold all my favorite things, and it has a built in cooler to keep my snacks nice and cold. I could also use it as a nice little lounge chair when I want to sit back and enjoy the sunset.

What’s your favorite Ju-Ju-Be memory?
When my little Julia said, “Mom, am I Ju-Ju-Be.com???”

What do you like to do outside of Ju-Ju-Be?
Eat…I love food…seriously. Especially cupcakes ….Sprinkles Vanilla are my favorite! And I love playing games with my family…I’m a serious competitor. I can beat most people at Yahtzee. And don’t even think about challenging me in Ms. Pacman because you will cry. I love to travel but haven’t had the chance to do much of it in the last decade but that is okay because I’d rather be a mommy. And I like to laugh. I love Arrested Development…just finished the entire three seasons and I’m seriously depressed that it is over…forever. Sigh. I also like to watch Monk with my older two boys…funny stuff!

If they made a movie of your life, who would play you?
Good question, growing up everyone said I looked like Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie…but I’d rather have Tina Fey play me because she is funnier. It wouldn’t really be a movie — it would be more of a series of Saturday Night Live skits. One right after the other, with no commercial breaks…bloopers of my life. I’d love that!

How long have you been with Ju-Ju-Be?
The entire time!

Describe a typical day for you in the world of Ju-Ju-Be.
Photographing product, designing, website tweaking, answering emails (lots of emails), planning for trade shows, factory visits, managing a ton of stuff — big and small — from sales/marketing (international and domestic), design/development, manufacturing, shipping, strategic partnerships, and best of all, checking in with my friends in the Pink Room, or on occasion…Pink Chat. Yes, that is all in ONE typical day!!! I try not to sleep.

What’s your favorite print?
I love Perky. I love, love Lotus. I love Midnight Eclipse. I miss Lush. I can’t wait for the Spring 2010 prints because they will be the best ever.

You’re stranded on a desert island with ONE Ju-Ju-Be bag. What is it, and why?
WannaBe. It’s a beach bag, silly. It should have a nice towel rolled up in the towel holder, and a constant supply of cool food and beverages in the cooler pocket. It’d have my iphone in the nice, plush, lined pocket so that I could call for the resort staff to bring me some more drinks and beverages when needed, and listen to some good music when my drink was full. It’d have plenty of room for sand toys so the kids could be there playing with me. (No one said I was stranded alone on the island)

What’s your favorite Ju-Ju-Be memory?
The first time I saw our bags in a real store AND the first time I saw a person (whom I didn’t know) carrying one of our bags in the wild.

What do you like to do outside of Ju-Ju-Be?
Surf in tropical warm water with big waves at sunrise, hike to the top of the world, ski in fresh powder, make a few turns on glassy water, skin dive with my boys.
