Well, Susan was at it again…and by “it” I mean showing everyone a good time at her amazing Trunk Shows!! The first one was on Saturday at the Nordstrom South Coast Plaza …here she is with some pink ladies!!!

And on Sunday, she had the honor of being at the Nordstrom Fashion Island which was the location of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!! Susan said “So cool to be here at Fashion Island today where I am meeting so many cancer survivors and fighters! They are in Newport Beach today for the walk for breast cancer. I am glad that Ju-Ju-Be donates to cancer research. Like they say “Fight Like A Girl!!”

Happy Five Years Batman!  The dynamic duo of diaper bags has hit a big milestone TODAY, September 23rd!  Five big years ago today we shipped out the first Ju-Ju-Be orders!  Yes that is the storage unit..er..um I mean warehouse… that we started in…we’ve actually grown so fast that we had 5 different “warehouse” locations!  And those moves didn’t go without loads of hilarious stories…

Did you know we used to hand stamp each box with cute little stars on them?  We wanted our retailers to know that we meant business and we were the most fun company around.

Since that day we have received 5 star ratings, a few 5 spots and hopefully no 5 finger discounts!  We’ve had 5 times the fun and sometimes we have needed to use 5-Hour Energy Shots…but we still get the job done!  Today is a 5 alarm day, friends!  I wish that Ben Folds Five or Five for Fighting were here playing a song for us…but we’ll have to settle for a new season of Hawaii Five-o on primetime…

5 huge thank yous to everyone that has make this journey possible!  We can’t wait to see what the future brings and what kind of fun we will be having by next year!

Sometimes it’s fun to see all the chaos behind the scenes…hmmm…maybe it’s fun, maybe I’m just a little twisted. Maybe it’s the fact that we have so much fun doing it ourselves, that we just wanted to share. In any case, it’s time to prep for tradeshow season. We have smaller shows throughout the year at our regional showrooms, but the biggies are coming up in the next few weeks here. The first is the big Kind + Jugend show in Cologne Germany. Katie and I will be there, along with tons of our international friends. Don’t worry, we’ll post lots of pix and give some updates. Then in October, we’ve got the big ABC kids expo in Vegas. Major party for us every year, and it’s super fun. Exhausting, but fun. Once again, lots of pix coming…we’ll even be doing live broadcasts on Ju-Ju-Be TV. Soooo….what do we do to prep for a tradeshow?

We do some marketing…(send out post cards). We make up T-shirts. We order tons and tons of samples to stock the booth. And then we work our little behinds off to make it all come together! Fun? Fun! Sometimes it takes a few weeks to recover and remember that it really is fun.! Joe
