Every year on 9/11 we wonder how many flags will come out. We still remember how many there were in the weeks and months after that terrible tragedy. So many lost their lives. We haven’t forgotten, and we don’t forget those who “lose” their lives in the service of our country. They lose it in weeks, months and years.
A picture is worth 1000 words. These pictures are if my brother returning from Iraq this last week. 180 days of his life. Away from his wife. Away from his 3 year old adopted son (away for 20% of his life so far). Freedom is not free. It’s bought with lives that are lost. All at once, and freely given one day, one month, one year at a time. Never forget! joe

Hi All
Sometimes it’s fun to see all the chaos behind the scenes…hmmm…maybe it’s fun, maybe I’m just a little twisted. Maybe it’s the fact that we have so much fun doing it ourselves, that we just wanted to share. In any case, it’s time to prep for tradeshow season. We have smaller shows throughout the year at our regional showrooms, but the biggies are coming up in the next few weeks here. The first is the big Kind + Jugend show in Cologne Germany. Katie and I will be there, along with tons of our international friends. Don’t worry, we’ll post lots of pix and give some updates. Then in October, we’ve got the big ABC kids expo in Vegas. Major party for us every year, and it’s super fun. Exhausting, but fun. Once again, lots of pix coming…we’ll even be doing live broadcasts on Ju-Ju-Be TV. Soooo….what do we do to prep for a tradeshow?
We do some marketing…(send out post cards). We make up T-shirts. We order tons and tons of samples to stock the booth. And then we work our little behinds off to make it all come together! Fun? Fun! Sometimes it takes a few weeks to recover and remember that it really is fun.! Joe

First Day of Kindergarten!!!

Joe and I were lucky enough to get to spend Griffin’s first day of Kindergarten with him!! We went on a Scavenger Hunt and had to find all the important places in his new kindergarten room. (i.e. the bathroom, the playground, the puppet theater, the books, the calendar, etc. etc.). Then his teacher had all the kids sit on their carpet square and she asked them what they found on their hunt. Griffin raised his hand and he said “I know how to whistle!” Hmmmm…okay…he is a man of many talents but one of them is obviously not answering the question asked.
