Okay, I've had a chance to play and pack a bit now that the kids are in bed. No pics tonight, boooooo....DH is working late and I don't know how to use his snazzy camera.

First impressions - the mint julep is so pretty! Much more vibrant than in the pics. I liked it in the pics, but even more so in person. The bag isn't quite as big as I thought it was going to be, but that's a good thing for me because I didn't want anything too huge. The side pockets fit DS's sippies with room to spare (they are 8 or 9 oz) and my 16 oz stainless water bottle even fits, though it only zips about halfway. I didn't expect it to fit at all, though, so that's a nice bonus! I can fit 5 cloth diapers in the bottom section comfortably (BG OS AIOs), but I think I'm going to keep the wetbag and dirties in there so they're out of the way. I'm still trying to decide what to put in that little pocket on the top near the back....it's not quite big enough for restaurant stuff (bibs, utensils, snacks, toys), and I'm not sure what else I'd like to have really accessible. I'm sure I'll come up with something, though. I'm thinking about getting a Quick or maybe a Set (use the large piece) for the restaurant stuff so it'll stay all together in the main compartment.

I know this is probably a "Duh!" for a lot of you, but I'm really impressed with the mommy pocket. During my last diaper bag search, I had really wanted to be able to give up my purse, but I couldn't find anything with good enough organization for my stuff. The few bags I saw with spots I could use either had them scattered all over the bag, or buried inside and not very accessible if I needed to grab my wallet or phone or something. I managed to pare down my purse to a much smaller one, but I still have one. Of course I saw the JJB mommy pockets on all the pics and videos, but I had kind of given up on the idea and just figured it wouldn't work that way for me and I'd just use it for small kid stuff. Well, I haven't totally packed it yet, but I think I was completely wrong! It's a really nice size, extremely accessible, and is organized really well.

I'm glad you love the MJ BRB! The mommy pocket is the best! That is what hooked me on JJB. I was so thrilled to find a company that made a bag that had organization for both baby and mommy!
