Re: unicorns and rainbows...our first collaboration
I came so close to buying a Tokidoki bag a few months ago, but I wasn't sure I could pull it off. But I'm sold now! I can't wait to see the new bag - here's hoping it's a small purse. This is such a fun collaboration!

Yeah, I don't think that's going to happen. I think cp might be just about the right size. Don't know if I could handle the disturbing little creatures on anything bigger than a FC or Quick (for my girls).
I think the new prints are so cute, but this is totally cracking me up right now.
I know ... I'm now giggling about it too. I think that I might already softening a little towards them. Not that I can really see myself carrying a TD print bag, but I might eventually find them a teeny bit endearing.
Ha Kelly! Why am I not surprised?? The bear with fangs is a big scary... that's the only one that I don't super duper love, but I'm sure he'll grow on me too. The rainbow unicorn is right next to him after all, so she's got to be sharing the love, right?

Very cute and fun! I didn't think I'd like this style but who knows maybe I'll end up with at least a Mighty Be...
Hey Julie... I notice your avi - where's the golden box?
It's in Horsforth, Leeds for Alistair Brownlee's gold medal. My daughters love it, they keep getting their photo taken with it.
Lol I would too. I want o know where the ones in Aberdeen are, I'm not far from there

My oldest said she really liked the colors and characters one but she didn't like the fangs. She did say she would like something. I asked them both if they liked one over the other and they said no so I will probably get something of each and give one to each of them. Not sure what though, they already have a FC so maybe a quick. I thought pacipod but what in the world could they use them for. But with the 2 d rings I think the quick would be cute!

I love the colors, but I am the same about the fangs and horns. DH and I don't even watch scary movies. LOL.

Tokidoki isn't my style either, but the fact that they, too, have a cult like following (and I mean that in the most loving way possible ) shows that this is a brilliant match up And also, it is so cool to see that a brand can do a style like this one & one like the Blush Frosting (and everything in between). Truly, something for everyone. Love it!
Another home run, JJB!! Congrats!
yes i like cult...it's fun
in sharing stories...it seems their fans are very similar to our fans.
they have PP issues too lol
ROFL, I love this!

It is not my style, either.. I would have rather seen a PPB Collaboration. I am happy for my friends who are happy, though..
At least we can look forward to a new bag and print(s), though! And two D-rings on quicks.. perfect!
I can't even imagine a world in which JJB and PPB would collaborate, given that they are both primarily diaper bag companies and therefore competitors. PPB collaborated with Ergo, hardly an issue of competing. Similarly, JJB and Tokidoki - Tokidoki is not a diaper bag company.
I think this is a fantastic collaboration, congrats to the JJB team ... and for Kristen, I think it is SUPER awesome that you could make this dream come true!
;0 now we need hello kitty and i can just retire lol

OMG what have you done Kristin, just as I am through diaper bags. At least I am glad I haven't invested in jjb bags for the last few seasons :p
aaaand, DH has NEVER approved of my jjb bags until now as he likes tokidoki artwork and knows all of us, and some family members do.
I am a huge toki fan even before their Lesportsac collaboration, I discovered Simone L through Hard Candy and Urban Decay, long story... I can't believe I left my toki addiction for JJB! My kids and I have apparel in toki as with toys and keychain mascots. So glad for this collaboration so I can finally retire from diaper bags in general yet have some love to go back to. My heart skipped a few beats when I mistook one of the pacipod pics for a Mine. Just how neat would either print be on a Mine?
Loveeeee the lime lining on Iconic. And am I thankful there is no bag charm that might otherwise drive up your prices by 20%!!!!

Man some of the FB comments are so annoying. It must be frustrating to come out with so many new products and still have people say "I wish you made this instead". Someone said they wished JJB made more toned down prints. Hello, LT and BCT and Sea Glass. Someone else said these prints were too cartoonish. but that is what Tokidoki is! UGH.
That is tkdk ignorance for you. When my friend, a collector of LV and Fendi bags saw my tkdk bag she scoffed at the what she thought was a ridiculous design there was no way in hell she would be seen carrying one and then what? When Foresta bags went for 3-4x their original prices on ebay a couple of years later suddenly she wanted most of them, go figure. Now she is an addict she would travel to Thailand and HK just to scour their flea markets for spin offs and knock offs in accessories although she would never buy fake LV nor Fendi.
I'd think jjb fans who aren't tkdk fans will be the same. Not buy now and regret later lol. Just as how prints like Dz, GG and JR weren't popular at their time and suddenly now value has skyrocketed. Great for the rest of us tkdk fans will then have more bags available to buy.

Re: unicorns and rainbows...our first collaboration
Ok guys, I'm totally behind as life is so crazy right now I don't have as much time to surf the net. I briefly saw the blog pics yesterday and was going to scour and drool over them tonight but is the link broken? Where can I find the pics again and when are these going FS? Who is distributing them or is it only JJB?
I totally love Tokidoki and need an MB or accessory in the Iconic print!

Re: unicorns and rainbows...our first collaboration
Fangs and horns have a bad reputation because of the media and media alone. If you really think about it, some of earth's most beautiful creatures have horns and a lot of animals have fangs. We have pointy fangs too! It is just for eating, nothing more. It's actually what I like about Tokidoki, they put fangs on otherwise cutesy characters! That is genius, IMO. Fangs and horns are misunderstood and if media didn't tell you that fangs and horns are evil, you would not really think it is .
