 Re: CoB sets
I really hate to bring up more negativity with regards to the CoB sets, I am very grateful that JJB went above and beyond to make these sets. However, in the UK we wil only be receiving 4 of the 15 sets that were ordered as the rest have been deemed unsuitable to send over to the UK. I believe that a raffle will be used to determine who gets these sets. I am really upset about this, I voted on the original poll and also ordered from TCA when they became available. The likelihood is that I will not receive a set. In fact less than 25% of the people that ordered a set will receive them.
I suggested that a similar method to that used in Canada was employed, but apparently this is not a viable option for the UK market. The situation is what it is, and nothing can change that, but I can not help but feel bitterly disappointed that so many people are going to miss out on the sets that they so badly want.
I can not help but feel that the Uk pL's are treated as the poor relation. We ordered our PL quicks and had to wait an inordinate amount of time before we got them, and infact the issue was only addressed when I posted my frustration here. Now we have a similar situation and there are going to be many disappointed PL's. I know that many US PL's missed out, but at least the US and Canada received their full allocation and the PL's that ordered were able to decide whether to accept the sets or not.
I personally feel that I am no longer going to order in the UK anymore, I will order in the US and get it sent on to me, twice I have ordered Ltd Editions and twice I have been disappointed by the process, If I had run the gauntlet and ordered from LDD I would likely have my set now. I truly appreciate that everyone has done the best that they can, but at the end of the day 11/15 people will be disappointed and let down.

Wow, that is terribly unfair. What a disaster...

 Re: CoB sets
Whilst I don't want to add to the negativity either, that IMO is just spectacularly unfair and out of order. It also does not add up at all as JJB have said time and time again that the problem with these sets is tiny and has been blown out of proportion by posters in the US. How come then that they decided not to send 11 out of 15 sets over here?? That makes NO sense whatsoever as that is a huge proportion.
As the people who had ordered had said here on this thread that they were willing to take their chances with the sets, why has this not been listened to and the wishes of the customers just unilaterally ignored? The only people would should be allowed to decide whether to accept the CoB sets are those that have ordered them, the customer!
It's unbelievably unfair that people in the US, who genuinely have access to the entire range of JJB products (whether new or used) and may have other sets in other patterns, now have also have CoB sets, and UK customers who do not in any shape, way or form have access to their entire range and face huge problems even getting access to solid colour sets, end up with nothing.

 Re: CoB sets
I don't get it. What are the chances that the vast majority of sets sold in the US are "fine," those sent to Canada are defective enough to warrant a discount, and 11 out of 15 are too defective to send to the uk? I'm sorry uk mamas

 Re: CoB sets
All,
I really appreciate your frustrations with this situation, we too are very frustrated! We are expecting the delivery of BeSets to be with us tomorrow. We have 14 Drip Drops and 4 COB coming to us, of which we still have 2 Drip Drops BeSets available.
As soon as they arrive we will let you know.
Kind regards Jane

 Re: CoB sets
I'm wondering who declared them defective. Maybe that person was squinting at them with PL perfectionist vision instead of the realistic view LDD was using. There's no way that many were that seriously flawed.

 Re: CoB sets
I have a BNWT FB Set that I tracked down from a Polish supplier and cost me about £36.50. I really don't need it, so I am willing to raffle it for £40 for UK mamas only. I will try to get it listed sometime today and will keep the raffle open for a few days to ensure people have a chance to enter. I know it is not CoB, but hopefully it might give someone the chance at a Set... EDIT: I got it listed straightaway here viewforum.php?f=18. I've actually asked for £42 to ensure I cover all my fees.

 Re: CoB sets
Thanks for the update Jane. Do you know where those "defective" sets are and if we have a chance of buying them in the future, or have they just gone in the bin?
Perhaps Rachelle could help with this question?
Thanks so much x

 Re: CoB sets
Hi everyone, We are really sorry that there are so many unhappy customers. This has been a very difficult situation and sometimes we make business decisions that people don't agree with. After all of the problems we encountered in the U.S. we decided that it would be best to send only four of the sets. It is costly to pay for the freight, duties and shipping to the customer if the customer is just going to return it or want a discount on the product. I'm not saying that you would want to return it or want a discount but we tried to learn from our situation here and determined that this would be the best course of action. We are so sorry that people are disappointed. If it makes you feel any better, we are disappointed that you are disappointed. We love all our customers and try to bring joy with our products. Marie (our UK distributor) and Jane (our awesome retailer from That Cute Age) have nothing to do with this decision and are trying their best to figure out a fair way to distribute the sets. So, we (JJB) would like to apologize to them as well for putting them in this situation. Thank you to everyone and once again, huge apologies. Wish we had perfect sets to send. R

 Re: CoB sets
But the distributor pays the shipping, taxes & customs charges not the manufacturer. Very confused now.
