This. I have found their shipping has gotten completely unreasonable, so unless it's a big ticket item it's just not a deal any more.

It wasn't even the fact that there wasn't any JJB. Even their non-JJB items were a bit blah. Although, I did score some shoes for DS for him to grow into. But I must say that the diva cup was annoyingly anticlimactic.

Yep! Their shipping is ridiculous now. I find most of the stuff they have I can find for cheaper at a site that ships for free and has a discount code or sale. When I do steal from them now I try to combine shipping with things from the archive I've been look at.

My problem lately has been that every second item has been defective. We've had to send shoes back...and have taken a discount on a number of things, but you still have a flawed item ..... I ordered one of the Four Peas Duffle bags and the shark decal was on upside down! It was so disappointing....now on a good note....Four Peas UPS'd a replacement bag and we got to keep the flawed bag. I'm just not feeling the same level of trust in the BS products now...I wonder if they are selling seconds?

I find shipping ridiculous too, it's a minimum of $8.75 for things to Canada it seems, even when they are as light as a child's hat, or the ROSK sun cover the other day that is super lightweight. Ugh. I do find their customer service to be good, but while that makes me happy when I've already bought something, it doesn't make me stick around as a customer when the pricing is ridiculous for shipping. It is most definitely not exact shipping any more.

I know I just feel like if I'm going to pay two day shipping prices I should get it in two days. They used to ship the same day or the next day. It's sad!

I haven't bought much from them lately, but their customer service is great.

Regarding whether they sell flawed items, well one time I bought a pair of little soles shoes from their archive that had a handwritten price tag outside. I thought it odd, but put them away for a year for dd to grow into. I sold them about a year later when I realized I'd gotten the wrong size. I shipped them to Canada. Buyer got them and said they were used shoes! Sent me pics. I was so embarrassed, and totally annoyed with bs for selling me used shoes. I contacted bs to explain what happened and asked if they could at least print a return label for the buyer in Canada to use. They said no, I had to mail the shoes from my house. So I said I didn't want to pay $10 to ship an $18 pr of shoes from Canada and they said thee take care of me. Fast forward, I returned the shoes, got a full refund, plus a credit to use for the out of pocket shipping costs to Canada and back. So it was a pain, but they made it good in the end.

I can't remember the last time I bought something from BS. I used to be obsessed. I remember buying something for the 10am CST steal, then got a shipping notice a couple hours later and it was either to me the next day or 2 days max. I almost pulled the trigger on some stride rite shoes last night but realized they were $24 and then add in shipping, that they would be the same price or even more than the shoes at my local Stride Rite Outlet!

totally agree with all the PP's birthday week was a major bummer, nothing exciting about any of it, the shipping has really sucked as far as time goes (perhaps they set that up, since they used to be AMAZINGLY fast, hard to see it go the other way) and its getting more and more expensive... the GOOD news is its making me spend less

Yep, I haven't order anything in a really long time. It just seems different, but it's good because I had been spending so much!

it has been ages since I have bought anything and was so sad there wasn't anything I could even justify during Bday week! their shipping is too high these days, their quality seems lower and even their CS isn't as stellar:( oh well. more money saved I guess!
